Scarpetta is always an excellent read. Less medical details than most which always adds to the realism but another good and “don’t want to put the book down.”

It seems as though Ms Cornwell has been reading a lot of Lincoln & Child and trying to turn Benton into her version of an Agent Pendergast. It’s an epic fail and she should stop. Stick to what you know, forensic science, and stay out of L&C’s lane.

Boring, it skipped around so much it was hard to follow. Disappointing ending and the last word made no sense.

In one word this is what I think of Patricia Cornwell's writing generically speaking. I have read all of her novels starting in 1997 on a by-chance suggestion. Thank you Patti C for your compelling work!

Easily one of the worst books in the Scarpetta series. Avoid it!!
